Michael Brownstein, MD, PhD
Dr. Michael Brownstein, a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Emeritus Scientist, served as the Chief of the Laboratory of Genetics of the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Human Genome Research Institute in addition to two years as Scientific Director of the NIMH Intramural Research Program at the NIH. He has directed research projects at the NIMH/NHGRI and J. Craig Venter Institute. Dr. Brownstein has published over 200 papers in peer reviewed journals; served, and continues to serve, on editorial boards and scientific advisory boards. He has also been involved in the founding of several successful biotech companies.
